What a great DVD! The sound isn't perfect, but the filming and the show more than make up for it. Four of my favorite musicians and a VERY nice surprise in frontman, Casey McPherson. What a charming and unassuming guy. He's got 'something' in his lower register.... very genuine and cool, that sets him apart.... His upper register is just plain beautiful.I have to confess that I didn't really connect with the first record and I bought the DVD mainly to watch Steve Morse play guitar in a proggish setting, but wow.... This is a great band with well written, interesting songs, played by some of the best musicians in the business. Steve was just fantastic as was Dave LaRue. Portnoy is a bundle of energy and joy on the drums and Neal Morse provides his usual high quality keys, and in this case, backing vocals.Every song on this DVD is good, spanning a myriad of styles. The "Colder Months / Safe Harbor" mini medley is probably my favorite piece, b ut there are so many killer parts throughout that you'll need several listens just to get a true sense of what you just heard. ...I highly recommend this concert to anyone who appreciates well crafted songs and stellar musicianship. If you're into Lady GaGa.... don't botherIt's 6 months later and I've probably watched this concert 20 times. It just doesn't get old... the way they weave the parts together to create these wonderful songs... the musicianship ( I never really had a sense of just how good Dave Larue is until I watched him play on this BD), The vocals are really good... complex backing harmonies galore. Most importantly they play as a band, not like a bunch of superstars jamming to impress. I hope they find a way to tour more often and record many more records. If you like any kind of rock music you will love this show. They are undoubtedly one of the best new bands to appear in the last 10 years. Do your eyes and ears a favor and check them out. You'll see why all the ratings are 5 star......
