Although this was recorded in 1997, just a couple of years before Doug's untimely early death in 1999, this live concert was not released until 2012. Apparently Doug was and still is, very popular in Scandinavia. The title really says it all. The band on this live CD, includes Shawn Sahm, Doug's son, on guitar & some vocals. The total running time is about 68 minutes. One thing that really stands out in this live recording, is the sounds of the backing horns. Plus, it doesn't have an accordian player. Augie Meyers is not in this particular band, even though Doug shouts out Augie's name several times, or at least there's no mention of Augie Meyers' name included in the liner notes. The band included in this Album/CD (as listed in the liner notes) includes:Doug Sahm, guitar, lead vocalsShawn Sahm, guitar, vocalsJack Barber, bassFran Christina, drumsAl Gomez, trumpetRocky Moralas, tenor saxArtuo "Sause" Gonzales, keyboardsJanne Lindgren, steel guitarNote: Long time compadre, Augie Meyers is not listed. This is kind of a "different" version of the "Sir Douglas Quintet".The songs are as follows:1.Farmer John2.Talk to Me3.Nitty Gritty4.Nuevo Laredo5.Dealer's Blues6.Bad Boy7.Is Anybody Goin' to San Antone8.Pick Me Up On Your Way Down9.Adios Mexico10.(Hey Baby) Que Paso11.Wasted Days & Wasted Nights12.She's About a Mover13.Mendocino/Dyamite Woman14.Meet Me in Stockholm15.Treat Her Right (Recorded in Belgium on Aug.2, 1997.)This is one super fantastic live concert on CD, and I highly recommend it. Thanks, and I hope this review has been helpful.P.S. Just in case you are not aware, Doug's son Shawn Sahm, reformed the Super Group, The Texas Tornados, which includes original Tornado members, Augie Myers, & Flaco Jemendez (Accordian Player). They released an album in 2010. It included (at that time) some of the last currently known, previously unrelesased recordings, of founding members, Doug Sahm & Freddie Fender. I highly recommend it.
