Read more Botanium was founded in Stockholm in 2016 by a group of designers and engineers with a passion for creating innovative products that enable everyone to grow their own food without compromising their modern lifestyle. We strive to accelerate and simplify urban gardening, enabling everyone to be a grower. In 2017 we did successful crowdfunding campaigns on Kickstarter and Indiegogo, that resulted in over 1600 backers from 65 countries. How NOT to kill a plant Botanium is a compact, easy and effortless way of growing. It is s a hydroponic pot, which means it grows plants like chilies, herbs and tomatoes without soil. It waters the plants automatically. The result? Faster growth and no need to worry about over or under watering. Botanium takes care of the boring parts of growing and lets you enjoy the fun parts. All you need to do is to fill the water tank every now and then, and add some nutrients (included) Less guesswork thanks to automatic watering Hydroponic technology inspired by professional agriculture Minimalistic Scandinavian design from Sweden Water tank that lasts for weeks Grow herbs and vegetables from seed to harvest Read more Automatic watering The most common way to kill a plant is probably forgetting about watering - and then compensating this by overwatering. Everyone knows that plants need water, but how much and how often? Botanium waters every 3rd hour, and since the growing medium holds moisture as well as air, the plant can't get overwatered. Just fill the water tank when the water level gets low, and you can leave it alone. More productive plants Having a healthy root zone is essential for growing leaves and fruits. Growing in a porous growing medium instead of soil, the roots get easier access to oxygen and nutrients (which are added to the water). This enables the plant to grow faster, so you can harvest earlier and more often, whether it's basil leaves or chili peppers. Water tank that lasts for weeks As water is pumped up, the excess water drains through the bottom and is recollected in the water tank to be reused later. So instead of evaporating, more water is being used by the plants. The water lasts for several weeks, so you can go away from home and return to a healthy plant. Read more Read more Read more

These are dead simple to put together and set up. Mine came with some seeds to get me started. I just threw it all together and set in front of a sunny window. Plants come to my house to die so having these to get the job done is a lot better!I think this is a good concept however, this pot is not automatic in my opinion. All it is is a flower pot with a timed water pump in it. The problem is that it waters every 3 hours and there is no way to adjust that time. So that immediately severely limited the plants that would be able to survive in such wet conditions. I would try it again if there was some way to customize the watering and the amount of water. But for $75 I just didn’t think it was worth it for a plastic pot with a fountain pump. I returned it.Order the first unit and it showed up inoperable. A replacement unit was shipped immediately. Once the new unit was received everything worked as advertised and I was excited. I had a hydroponic set up that didn't look like a science project. Unfortunately, this was short-lived and two weeks the pump failed. I really wish I had better luck with these because I like the concept and aesthetics. If anyone knows of a comparable product please let me know. You will not get the seeds if you are not in EU, besides that it is just plug and play.... I wish there would have been a version with a rechargeable battery...It is so elegant pot I love to have on top of my buffet shelf I can add right away to my salad dish.Perfect small hydro system. Super quiet and easiest setup! Looks amazing! Get this! The only thing I could grow and this was mold. I tried seeds and plants and nothing would grow but mold!!Very stylish, however somewhat expensive compared to other hydroponic systems. I E-Mailed customer service with no response. I still use the non working pot and water daily.
