The Bill Elliott Swing Orchestra: Live at the Hollywood Palladium - Best Swing Jazz Music for Dancing, Parties & Vintage Events

I'm on Bill's e-mail list and I learned that this CD was going to be released at Camp Hollywood about ten days ago. I couldn't attend the camp, so I had a friend pick up a copy for me.I was not disappointed. The track, "Two Girls and One Boy", is fantastic. It's from the film "Swing Fever". It's also the first release of this song and is not available on BESO's other CDs. As a dancer, I do have problems dancing to drum solos (what the heck do you do? just have the follow swivel for the whole time?) but the song is a lot of fun and a pleasure to listen to.Another noteworthy track is "Regular Joe". Quite a surprise to have BESO do a cover of an Indigo Swing song! I like their version but I'm so used to the original with Boyd's vocals.When I had the DJ spin this CD at Cafe Cocomo, everyone asked me about it. BESO didn't do a lot of promotion for the CD (few people at Camp Hollywood even knew about !). So get the CD. You won't be sorry.I can't wait till BESO plays San Francisco again.
