Everybody is still looking for the some old Who, eventhough, with the original members, come on, it's been a long time since Moon passed away, and you expect to have the same music, that will be impossible. Everybody says that they are old, they don't have the same energy, ovbiously, for more than forty years they have been on bussines. I am a huge fan of them as Led Zeppelin, The Rolling Stones, The Beatles, etc., and I don't expect to get the same from each member of these bands. Also, a lot of people don't like the idea of a lot of members on stage, Pete Townsend playing accoustic, Phillips on drums, etc. If you are a Who fan, and you already know what I am writing, then why you buy this DVD?Let me tell you, Pete Townsend is a great composer, do you think he will accept to perform a low quality show? I guess not. So, what he has done is with such quality, Tommy, on my opinion, is a great show, I have a VHS with the same show recorded live on PPV, and it is great, this one is the same, but much better quality. Performing Winwood, Labelle, John, Collins, Idol is to give something close to the movie, but with a little difference (I don't know if they tried to reach Clapton, Turner, etc. to perform, whom a like a lot, and also would have been a great perfomance). What I like most, besides Townsend, Daltrey and Entwistle, is Phillips perfomance, as you may have read before, he knows when and how to play at the excact moment, without showing off. On the VHS that I have PT makes a statment saying that it took a lot of people to replace Keith Moon, until they tried Simon Phillips. Also, he says it does not sound like old The Who......whatever, they show is fantastic. It is a shame we don't have Moon and Entwistle anymore, would you rather see the rest of the members than nothing since 1978?On this DVD you will hear them and see them different, take a chance, buy it, you will get a different show, be open mind.
