I just watched the video twice in one day, and thoroughly enjoyed the show from beginning to end.This performance in and of itself reveals just why Deep Purple is one of the best bands of all-time.I was amazed (though not surprised) to witness the "true" musical genius of Jon Lord, Roger Glover, Ian Gillian, and of course (my #1 percussion role model) Ian Paice. The additional performances of Ronnie James Dio, Graham Preskett, Dave LaRue(and the others from his group), and conductor Paul Mann were simply amazing. This is a CD & DVD that every "true" DP fan should own and cherish for years to come.This performance includes great orchestration in many of the early selections, a jazz rendition of "Hard Road" from the DP album "In Rock", a clap-happy performance by Dio in "Love Is All" from "The Butterfly Ball", Machine Heads "Pictures Of Home", and a closing (electrifying) rendition of "Smoke On The Water". Yes, if you are a loyal Deep Purple fan with an ear for a wide range of music, you will enjoy this concert in it's entirety. The chemistry and atmosphere throughout the show was amazing as well.Buy this CD & DVD! You wont be sorry.
