"KISS ME ONCE: LIVE AT THE SSE HYDRO, GLASGOW" is pure octane - pump it up!!! Kylie once again, turns out a thrilling, fabulous, exhilarating performance sure to please!!! If you're a Kylie fan, don't even hesitate purchasing it (the DVD is NTSC format, 0/universal region code & so, plays just great in U.S. players!) If you're new to Kylie MInogue, "KISS ME ONCE" is also highly recommended. It's an electrifying, breathtaking show by a charming, vivacious performer!! I am also glad the CDs are part of the package, as I am loving the remixes on Kylie's back-catalog, especially "Timebomb", "Wow", and "Hand On Your Heart" plus new songs, "Sexercize" and the title track, "Kiss Me Once"!!! And, all Kylie's best pop hits are here, too: "Kids", "Lucky" and, of course, "Can't Get You Out Of My Head" = Yay!!!! ("Kids", "Lucky" & "Locomotion" were not on "Aphrodite le folies"...that was a more lavish, opulent production - her largest tour, I believe.) Both grand shows, just different vibes! "KISS ME ONCE" being the more exuberant, fun, saucy, kicky show!!)Kylie's concerts are in Acts (setlists) allowing time in between for costume & material for the on-screen projections to be changed, as well as lighting. All is accomplished quickly and with precision to detail!! Kylie's shows will usually have a theme & so, too, does 'KISS ME ONCE". Actually, there are 2 themes: time and love (by way of clocks, red glossy lips & pink hearts)! I'll mention here: Kudo's for Kylie's 'K'rew: backup singers, dancers, choreographers, costume design, stage design, lighting & the myriad others who I'm probably forgetting...her people are the absolute best!!! You'll never see a more extravagant, detailed, rousing, invigorating show by any other Pop Star or, for that matter, anyone else!!! Kylie's the largest (even though most petite!) factor in that description herself, being zesty, sexy & enthralling (never trashy; not with that cutie-pie face!) giving her audiences an intoxicating, sensational show!!The costuming is another very fun, funky & sexy outing on "KISS ME ONCE"! I will keep it simple (since I left a very detailed review on "FEVER 2002" (another great Kylie show!) There was a lot of red, while & black together, and pink! Working stunningly well for Kylie, et. al. Kylie still has the moves & shakes it!! Her energy is effervescent!! Particular stage standouts are the opener, where they've worked in animation on the projection screens & the dancers are costumed to look like animation "sprung to life"!! Another is the bathtub...no spoils here. And there's one where Kylie & 'K'rew are made to look like the "kewpie doll" which Kylie is, but one with a delightful, powerful presence!!I have to mention this in it's own paragraph because I became familiar with Kylie Minogue as a huge INXS & Michael Hutchence (R.I.P.) fan, to the point of also reading several books and became intrigued about Kylie, since she & Michael Hutchence - no slouch in the steamy, provocative, sexual category himself - were an item for about 3 years. Kylie's supremely talented, pretty & cheeky... with a dynamite figure! I was extremely curious for her version of INXS' "Need You Tonight". Have no fear...Kylie really pays homage to Michael & INXS in costume and style...going so far as to wear a shiny black polyurethane(?) short trench-coat & jaunty hat...similar in style to what Michael wore in "The Strangest Party (These Are The Times)" video - very nicely done!!"KISS ME ONCE: LIVE AT THE SSE HYDRO, GLASGOW": Kylie Minogue racks up another in the Win Column!!
