20 DOAOut of 1000 fish only 10 dead. That seems great to me.I am very happy to report that I was sent a new order and the fish arrived in good shape and a good product. The one thing that I didnt understand was they shipped the replacement order without contacting me, it was pure luck I was home or the fish may have sat for 2 days before I was home.... Again they corrected and replaced...I've ordered these little guys multiple times. I'm attempting to establish them in a fish pond I have. Always had great luck placing them in the pond with only a few (less than 10) in a thousand dead on arrival. The only time I had them show up with more they were promptly replaced at no cost to me. 100% would recommend these to anyone wanting minnows.I would NOT RECOMMEND this purchase. I was initially impressed with overnight live delivery, all fish arrived in bright orange color, all alive. HOWEVER, within 24 hrs I was scooping out 25+ dead minnows from my 40 gallon tank, with no apparent cause of death, except red blood spots on the bodies. I did an immediate water change, and within a few hours and for the next 24 hrs I was again scooping out anywhere from 6 - 12 dead fish - again - no apparent cause except the red blood spots on the bodies, and I've been cleaning dead fish out of my aquarium no less than 2xs a day ever since. My research as to what could be happening says disease is the most likely culprit. Now - a bit of history for me: I have a 55g community tank - all fish are 2.5 yrs old, with 2nd & 3rd generation platys. I have never experience mass die off. I also have a 40g Axolotly tank with 4 Axolotls age 6-18 months old. And I have a 150 g. pond with 19 - 3rd generation goldfish that are 2.5 yrs old (parents were eaten by racoon invasion). So it's not like I don't know what I'm doing. I'm not an expert, but I'm not a beginner either.Today is day 5 since these fish were delivered, and I wake up to a cloudy tank with about 25+ dead fish. Yesterday I cleared 6 dead fish upon waking, a water change, and scooped 6-8 dead fish every 4-5 hours.I have contacted the seller, no response, and I am at a loss. These are pretty little fish, altho I did buy them to feed to Axolotls - but I cannot feed them because clearly there is a disease of some sort and so now I feel I bought 100+ fish just to watch them die and spend my time scooping dead fish and doing water changes. As far as I'm concerned this is a COMPLETE WASTE OF $$ and will never purchase these again. Furthermore, the return policy states that I will have to pay a 50% restocking fee to return. I want a total refund but I'm not sure how that works since I didn't save any of the dead fish. So I get burned all the way around. I will update this review upon seller response.8/16/21 UPDATE: I never got a response from the seller about my issues with these fish. I attempted to use Tetra Lifeguard to cure the fungus rapidly overcoming these little fish, and it only seemed to exasperate the issues!! I took all the fish out of the tank, put them in a whole new bare naked tank with a salt bath recipe and they all survived for 24 hrs and I thought BINGO! But between 36 & 48 hrs they were all dying off again. I literally watched on an hourly basis as they took a turn for the worst.I finally requested a return, but they all died before I could return. Never got to use them as intended (feeders) and for 10 days I scooped dead fish and performed water changes trying to save these little fish. A total waste of $$, time, and emotional investment in this situation. I am glad it's over as I am exhausted. As I've stated before, in my 40 yrs of aquatic hobby, I have never experienced such massive die off without cause or cure. I will never make this mistake again.Processing and shipping was super fast! The fish arrived with still pretty cool water for having 90+ degree weather. All arrived alive! I had only three die when transferring then to the tank but, that’s to be expected. I’m more then happy with this purchase and will be ordering again!Arrived alive. All but three of my 100 minnows arrived alive.
