Even if the sad events for DIO fans of earlier this year(2010) had not affected life so much, this package of a double CD of Live Performances would still be brilliant. DIO left a legacy of great music, great performances and uplifted hearts. As is evidenced by his comments between songs, he is there for the fans, and this was evident before these performance ( Munich 1977, now on DVD, With Rainbow), and after ( in just about every live DVD including the final officially recorded one at Wacken). The songs in 1983( disc 1) and 1987( disc 2) have some repetition in content, but its ALL good when it comes to DIO. This is a Master singer showing his art. Since it is a BBC recording, I can only hope that there might be some live footage somewhere, but I won't hold my breath, especially since the Hyde Park concerts, supposedly recorded by BBC have seen been consistently released. Anyway, what I can say about this release is that the audio is brilliant, the Booklet is superb and the replica "ACCESS ALL AREAS" pass is a stroke of genius. Whilst it is a great item that is made available, it is in a way sad, but this Digipak, and the Great Live in Europe ( aka, Live at Wacken) 2009 is a must have to celebrate the life of a Master Hard Rock singer who gave his all for the fans. Rest in Peace Ronnie, and for those who listen to his genius on CD, ROCK TIL YOU DROP !!July 23, 2012: I only heard recently, that Ronnie James Dio had a hand himself in the packaging of this set.He chose the cool extras, and I understand he chose the very cool list.
